"When I get older, I want to be a ballerina!" The child twirls and turns, dodging the livingroom furniture and leaping over a book on the floor. "I want to be a dancer up on a stage with curtains, in pretty pink ballet shoes and everyone will clap when I dance!"
Children have had their dancing dreams become reality in Bellingham, Washington at the Nancy Whyte School of Ballet since 1969. In a warm and supportive environment, the beginning dancers gain coordination, confidence and dance movement skills in beginning ballet and beginning jazz dance classes. Performance opportunities are available for child dancers of the school, in our annual spring recital and in the annual performance of the Nutcracker in Bellingham, WA.
Childrens Ballet Classes are offered for a range of ages and experience levels, from the preschooler (in our Early Childhood Dance Program) and absolute beginner to children who have had some dance experience or are older in Levels I, II, III and IV dance classes..
