It is much easier to advance  in ballet when the dancers form is corrected regularly at each lesson. The instructor makes sure the student is using the specific muscles required in the proper alignment. This care can prevent needless injury in later years and gives the dancer the strength and knowledge to learn more complicated ballet steps safely in centre.

A student must have been present at the preceding technique class to participate in this class. To be eligible for beginning pointe, a student must be registered for at least two other technique classes weekly. Students are expected to attend the class consistently. A student without pointe shoes on a given day is expected to take the class in soft shoes. NO CREDIT is given for a missed class. Pointe class is open only to students qualified to go on pointe.

Level III students must also take the Tuesday Level II/III class to be eligible for this class.

These classes are mandatory for Mt. Baker Ballet members unless they are assigned to other lower level classes.

This is an additional class available for students who are regularly in the Monday Level I and Tuesday Level II class.
