Aspen Santa Fe Ballet at Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham, WA Saturday, November 5, 2005

Bravo! Bravo! Aspen Santa Fe Ballet! Bravo! An exciting performance by the  internationally acclaimed Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Company  Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Bellingham's Mount Baker Theatre delighted the Whatcom County audience in attendence. With minimal use of scenery and full use of lighting, the attention was kept focused firmly on the dances themselves. The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet performance at the Mt. Baker Theatre was possible through the support of The Nancy Whyte School of Ballet as "Show Sponsor", The Bellingham Herald as Season Sponsor and Peoples Bank as Series Sponsor. Three acts demonstrated the interpretive range of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. Modern to avant garde, and a flowing rhythmic closing act to 60's pop music delivered something for everyone and broadened the audiences perception of  choreography for the ballet. Resounding applause and appreciative comments through out the Mount Baker Theatre left little doubt that the company had won new fans in Bellingham, WA..

The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is a company of twelve classically trained dancers who perform an eclectic repertoire by some of the world's foremost choreographers. The Boston Herald says, "If there is a classically trained company of the future, it's Aspen Santa Fe Ballet." Dance enthusiasts in Whatcom County will have a wonderful and rare opportunity to attend a live performance of this internationally acclaimed company on Saturday, November 5th when the Aspen Sante Fe Ballet appears on the Mount Baker Theatre (MBT) Main Stage in Bellingham, WA. The 8pm presentation is part of the Peoples Bank and MBT Performance series, The Nancy Whyte School of Ballet is the Show Sponsor and The Bellingham Herald is the 2005-2006 Season Sponsor. DANCE WORKSHOP: Earlier in the day, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet will offer one Dance Workshop on the morning of Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Bellingham's Mount Baker Theatre on Commercial.  10 am-11:30 am, cost $15. The Workshop #1, is on the Mt. Baker Theatre Mainstage. Dancers must be at least 15 years of age and have several years of dance experience. Students of the Nancy Whyte School of Ballet and company members of the Mount Baker Ballet will received free entrance to the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet workshop with each ticket purchased for the evenings 8pm performance of the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.
